2024 Fantasy Outlook
Injuries opened up opportunities for Dorth the past two seasons, and each time he proved to be capable of solid production from the slot. The 2019 UDFA bounced around the league for years, mostly viewed as a punt returner, before finding his home in Arizona in 2022 and 2023. At 5-7, 175, Dortch is one of the smaller players in the league and rarely takes snaps on the perimeter. That might not be a bad thing, as the Cardinals have two big WRs in Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson, potentially allowing Dortch to enter Week 1 as the No. 3 receiver and slot specialist. He started off lower on the depth chart the past two seasons, yet ended up seeing seven or more targets in eight games and double-digit targets four times The ball tends to find Dortch when he's on the field a lot, with his ability to gain yards after the catch making up for a lack of size and straight-line speed. Signs contract tender
Dortch signed his one-year exclusive rights tender with the Cardinals on Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dortch is coming off a 2023 season in which he recorded 24 receptions (on 41 targets) for 280 yards and two touchdowns in 16 contests for Arizona. With Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore no longer with the team, Dortch could see added opportunities during the upcoming season, though to what degree remains to be seen since the Cardinals will likely add receiver depth in the coming month via the 2024 NFL Draft.

No. 3 role in sights
Dortch profiles as the primary candidate to fill the No. 3 receiver role in 2023 following the release of DeAndre Hopkins on Friday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dortch re-signed with the Cardinals as an exclusive rights free agent earlier this offseason, and the expectation at that point was he'd serve as Arizona's No. 4 receiver following his breakout 2022 campaign. However, Hopkins' release naturally bumps everyone up a notch on the depth chart and opens up plenty of targets. Dortch fortunately got plenty of experience filling an expanded role a season ago with Hopkins serving a six-game suspension to open the campaign, and both he and Marquise Brown also logging multiple injury-related absences.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Since he went unselected in the 2019 Draft, Dortch endured a long road to any sort of relevance in the NFL. He didn't experience the first offensive snap of his career until Week 9 of the 2021 campaign with the Cardinals, and he eventually hauled in his first target exactly eight weeks later. As for last season, Dortch's playing time depended on the availability of others in Arizona's receiving corps, and by Week 18, he had put together a respectable 52-467-2 line on 64 targets in 16 outings. The Cards swapped out DeAndre Hopkins, A.J.Green and Robbie Chosen for rookie third-rounder Michael Wilson and Zach Pascal in the offseason, so Dortch should have a chance to contribute alongside Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore.
